The introduction gives advice and methods for 1) searching, choosing, and reading scientific papers and monographies, i.e. literature from original peer reviewed journal articles to textbooks, 2) writing a report in review paper form following the rules for form, content, and references, and 3) presenting a scientific project/subject in written and oral form taking into consideration the audience and the conveyance of the most important “take-home” messages.
The training phase gives actual experience in the above, such that the expected learning outcome is having achieved competences described by 1), 2) and 3. Besides, the students will get training in evaluating written and oral presentations and in communicating this evaluation in a contructive way. Finally, the students will attain actual knowledge within the chosen scientific areas, in particular the one they work with themselves, but also those chosen by fellow students.
