Course introduction
The students will gain knowledge of rights and duties regarding issues within the field of information law relevant to biologists in communicating positions such as information workers in private as well as public forums, journalists or similar. The course will give the students an understanding of the law and rules serving as "tools", but also of limitations in the research/production and publication phase of a release

Expected learning outcome


Subject overview
Publicity as regards the administration (access to documents), copyright (protection of own work and access to utilization of other people´s work), freedom of speech and illegal comments, media liability (who is liable for an illegal release?), ethicsof journalism (rules regarding the Press Complaints Commission and regarding reply), as well as marketing (editorial text vs. advertising, legality of advertising).

Report with internal evaluation by the teacher. Pass/Fail.
