Academic preconditions:
For students enrolled in 2002: BB08 BiologyA
For students enrolled before 2002: BM 05, BX 05 and BC 01.
The course is designed for students in biomedicine and pharmaceutical chemistry.

Course introduction
To give the students an overview of the functional anatomy of the body and the organ systems, and a detailed insight in the functional histology of tissues, organs and organ systems.

Expected learning outcome


Subject overview
Medical and anatomical terminology, light and electron microscopy, histological staining technology, histophysiology, epithelial tissue, connective tissue and blood, cartilage and bone, muscle tissue, nervous tissue/the nervous system,the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system,the digestive system,the urinary system,the endocrine system, lymphatic tissue/lymphatic organs,the immune system and the integumentary system.
