The content of CSE01 must be known.
Course introductionTo familiarize the student with the fundamental mathematics and physical concepts of the mechanics of deformable bodies in the view of the engineering applications. Combined with the knowledge achieved in the course of analog electronics and the connected projects, the student get the necessary competence for developing simple electromechanical systems. Furthermore, the student will learn about partial differential equations, the Fourier Transform and the vector analysis. These topics will be introduced as they are applied in physics and engineering.

Assessment and marking:
a) Written examination b) Approved compulsory individual project, handled in during the semester.
Approved compulsory individual project (passed/not passed) which accounts for 1 ECTS of the 5 ECTS, internal evaluation by teacher. The compulsory assignments are included in the 1st year exam.
Written examination for the 4 ECTS, internal evaluation, marks according to the 13-point marking scale.
Expected working hours
The teaching method is based on three phase model.
