Course introduction
The course should introduce administartive and legislative rules that determines the outcome in environmetal trials, including decissions on permission to emitt pollutants. The course should explain the different administrative levels of decission. The course should present practical examples from Danish administration.

Expected learning outcome
At the end of the course the student is suppose to:

Apply the Law for Environmental Protection and the Law for Land Use in solving problems concerning permissions to activities that lead to emission of pollutants or noise.
Establish a control programme for such activities.
Explain the technical background for choice of control parameters.
Reason about the administrative levels that can be responsible for decissions in relation to the Law for Environmental Protection.

Subject overview
Danish environmental legislation, permissions and control in relation to depositions and emissions to surface water and atmosphere, permissions and control in relation to external noise.

Assessment and marking:
Written exam, graded on the 7-step scale. Internal censorship.

Re-examination after 2nd quarter.
