Course introduction
An introductory course in bioacoustics (animal hearing and sound communication)

Expected learning outcome
After the course the student should be able to

• Have a working knowledge of basic acoustics
• Describe the anatomy and physiology of auditory pathways in different animal groups
• Describe sound communication in different animal groups
• Have a working knowledge of physiological and behavioral methods to measure hearing
• Undertake an independent project in bioacoustics
• Make an appropriate scientific description of experiments and results.
