Academic preconditions:
Students must be familiar with the topics covered by Writing Journalism and Film production.
	
Course introductionThe aim of the course is to teach the students how to use journalistic methods, i.e. generate and develop ideas, research, interview, focus and write stories to print and web.
Expected learning outcomeAfter the course the students are able to:
• generate and develop ideas for journalistic stories
• plan the research process and evaluate sources
• make research in written and oral sources as well as observations
• interview
• focus the collected material
• write stories for print and web media
Subject overviewThe students learn the journalistic process, i.e. development of ideas, researching, interviewing, focusing and writing to print and web media.

Prerequisites for participating in the exam
None
Assessment and marking:
A written paper including an article and an analysis. Intern marking with a 7-scale mark.
Re-exminationer after 4. quarter
Expected working hours
The teaching method is based on three phase model.
Undervisningen gennemføres som værkstedsundervisning med en vekselvirkning mellem teoretiske oplæg, skriveøvelser, diskussion og gruppearbejde. Hertil kommer skriftlige hjemmeopgaver.
