The teaching in special pharmacology has the aim to give the students a thorough knowledge of the chemical signal transduction between cells abd tissues and the influence of drugs to this, and to give the students knowledge of effects on the various organs from interactions with receptors, enzymes and ion transport mechanisms.
Expected learning outcomeSubject overviewClassical receptor pharmacology, pharmacokinetics (absorption; distribution; biotransformation and excretion of drugs), chemical signal mecanisms (extra cellular and intra cellular), organ systems (the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, the kidneys, the gastrointestinal canal, the endocrine organs, the central nervous system, anti bacterial means, cancer chemotherapy).
