Academic preconditions:
The courses of the Science Year must have been attended.
Course introductionTo make the students familiar with the fundamental concepts of electromagnetism by providing them both with theoretical insight from text and problems as with hands-on experience in the laboratory. In this way the course provides a basis for understanding and applying electrical-, electronic- and optical components in modern technology.
Expected learning outcomeSubject overviewElectrostatic interactions and forces, fields and potentials. Electric currents including ac currents, and electric circuits. Magnetism and induction.

Prerequisites for participating in the exam
None
Assessment and marking:
(a) Labwork, passed/non-passed and internal censorship by the teacher. The labwork, which accounts for 1 out of 5 ECTS should be passed to attend the written exam.
(b) 4 hour writen exam, with external censorship and grades according to the danish 7-point scale.

Expected working hours
The teaching method is based on three phase model.
