Projektarbejdet planlægges med de studerende.
Prerequisites:
None
Academic preconditions:
The science-year (first year) must be completed.
Course introductionThe students will carry out an interdisciplinary nanobioscience project involving experiments (measurement of physical or chemical properties, synthesis, spectroscopy, analysis), reading of literature and reporting of results.
QualificationsThe project will promote the ability of the students to work independently on a problem within nanobioscience. The students will be trained in topics such as: Literature search, planning and execution of experiments, data analysis and presentation of the results in oral and written form.
Expected learning outcomeSubject overviewProjects will be formulated by the supervising teachers (from Chemistry, Physics and BMB) and posted on e-learn one week before the first meeting. Students should register via e-learn so that they can be notified of the first meeting in the first week of the semester by email. The project starts with a literature search through which the students familiarize themselves with the project topic and the latest research developments concerning this topic. A plan of the experimental work must be discussed with the respective supervisor(s). In the following period, the students carry out experiments in the lab according to the plan. The last part of the project is devoted to data analysis and preparation of the reporting material (oral, poster plus written experimental and supplementary information). Topics may include: Biomolecule nanostructures and properties, immobilization of biomolecules, inorganic-biomolecule conjugates, analysis, spectroscopy and surface techniques. Possibility of excursion.
LiteratureSkal de studerende selv finde.
