AFTALEMØDE Der afholdes aftalemøde onsdag den 20. august 2008 kl. 15.15 i kollokvierummet på det ”gamle kemiske institut” (link: http://vejviser.sdu.dk/opslag?lid=496), hvor tidspunktet for afholdelse af Kemiske undervisningsforsøg i efteråret 2008 vil blive aftalt. Kursus afholdes to ugentlige dage a 4 timer i september-oktober.

Academic preconditions:
Bachelor degree must be passed.

Course introduction
The course aims at providing the students with experimental and educational skills which enables them to teach chemistry in the Danish "gymnasium" (high school / upper secondary school).

Expected learning outcome
At the end of the course, the students are able to:

1. perform chemical teaching experiments after a present protocol.
2. estimate the risks of chemical teaching experiments.
3. perspectivate the chemical teaching experiments in teaching and educational context.
4. describe the chemistry teaching in high school/sixth form college concerning to educational plans, level and text books.

Subject overview
Selected chemical experiments for demonstration, pupil experiments and major educational plans within the areas of general, inorganic and organic chemistry.

Prerequisites for participating in the exam
None

Assessment and marking:
Oral exam graded according the to 7-scale. External censorship.

Re-examination after 4th quarter.

Expected working hours
The teaching method is based on three phase model.

Laboratorieøvelser: 50 timer

Deltagerne forbereder og gennemfører ca. 15 demonstrationsforsøg samt et projekt omhandlende eleveksperimenter inden for områderne almen kemi, uorganisk kemi og organisk kemi. Sikkerhedskursus og gymnasiebesøg kan indgå i kurset.
