The content of DM532 should be known.

Course introduction
The main purpose of this course is to give the participants an understanding of the techniques of Cloud Computing.

Expected learning outcome
- develop programs for large scale data processing with the MapReduce model and deploy them on a real cloud computing platform;
- conduct a project wich should be within the topics covered by the course;
- report work done in the project in a clear and precise language, and in a structured fashion.

None

Assessment and marking:
(a) Mandatory assignments, pass/fail, internal examiner.
(b) Project assignment, Danish 7 mark scale, external examiner.

The teaching method is based on three phase model.
